Miniature and Belted Galloway Stud
Mbuyanhanda Cattle Stud is located in the Beautiful Adelaide Hills, South Australia. We have been breeding Miniature Galloway cattle since 2013 and Belted Galloway since 2018. Our breeding stock was originally sourced from leading studs in NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. To further enhance our herd genetics we carry out extensive artificial insemination programs each year using sire award winning semen sourced from both Australian and International Bulls. We pride ourselves on breeding easy to manage cattle suitable for:

- Good quality livestock beef cattle
- Stud Animals
Our Galloway cattle are an old Scottish breed and are recognized as the oldest naturally polled beef cattle in the world. Miniature Galloways can be black, red, dun, white with black or red points. Our Belted Galloway are black, red and dun. Miniature Galloways grow to approximately two thirds the size of regular cattle. The Belties are either similar size or slightly larger than the average miniature Galloway.
They have a double coat which consists of a course outer coat that helps shed the rain and the soft undercoat provides insulation and waterproofing enabling them to withstand extreme temperatures.
Galloways are an extremely fertile breed regularly producing vigorous calves, they are noted for ease of calving and are excellent mothers. They also have a very relaxed manner and temperament.
